Who We Are

Blue Chair Planning & Design Studio, LLC was founded by Brian and Cindy Peoples to address the needs of mid-to-large scale clients seeking intentional and thoughtful design services with the level of personal attention and inherent value only a small firm can provide. 

A long-standing career in the field of architecture has given Brian the opportunity to design and oversee the construction of a vast array of project types ranging from retail, restaurant and office to mixed-use, multi-family and senior living (IL, AL, Skilled Nursing and CCRCs). 

Brian holds certification in Construction Contract Administration and is well-versed in contract documentation, quality control and site inspections. 

As a Registered Interior Designer, Brian is also passionate about designing from the inside out, always with the end user in mind, and he understands the importance of creating meaningful interior environments, not just decorated spaces within walls.

Brian’s wife and business partner, Cindy, is LEED certified and has been involved in the design process for several projects over the course of her career. She and Brian often “talk shop” for hours and most outings turn into observational field trips, noting design trends and ideas wherever they go.  Cindy’s primary role for Blue Chair is business operations and financial management. 

Brian and Cindy live with their two senior Jack Russell terriers in Charlotte, NC. They enjoy spending time with friends and family, being outdoors, working on car projects, attending concerts and traveling, especially to anywhere tropical.
