Using materials at hand, each original ARTcards is one of the most unique and wonderful pieces of mail that your mailman will ever see. The vellum envelope is designed to compliment each card;the design shows through so that this card will make all the other mail jealous! These cards start life as print media collages, then spray paint and anything else I can think of is applied until it looks "done". Then I rather randomly cut it to bits. Then, while drinking Diet Wild Cherry Pepsi, with a lot of ice, I glue the bits on to card stock which has been previously prepared with whatever paints, inks or dyes seemed right at the time. Very little planning goes into each composition; I like to be surprised when they turn out so beautiful, like the wild child who turns out okay in the end. The cards shown here are typical of what I am currently doing and are what you can expect to find in any of the fine shops and galleries that carry the cards. I also create reprints of these cards which I hand-embellish to add back the texture and shine of the original. Both originals and reprints are a dazzling piece of mail --- the ones that don't get framed.
